About me
My name is Victor. I was born in Barcelona, Spain.
Although I grew up and lived my whole life in Barcelona, I have Filipino roots on my father’s side and Spanish roots from my mother. I have always felt drawn to the Philippines, a country I didn’t really know very well.
So I decided to embark on a journey to rediscover this country and to meet my father’s long-forgotten family in his hometown. I was excited about a trip that carried deep sentimental, cultural, and joyful significance.

Initially, I was going to travel to the Philippines on my own, but my daughter, who was on holiday from university, decided to join me. A few weeks before leaving, my sister just left her job, so I asked her if she wanted to come too. Without hesitation, she agreed.
And just like that, we formed an unusual and improvised travel group — but one that got along incredibly well. That was the key to making the trip flow smoothly and turn out perfectly.
I knew in advance what we were going to see, visit, or explore day by day. Everything had been carefully arranged. There was only one place we didn´t plan anything at all except for resting a little bit.
...This place was Port Barton.

And there was where the magic happened...
I have never imagined that in a tiny coastal village with barely three streets, We would unknowingly experience the true essence of slow travel.
The days we spent there were, without any doubt, the best part of our trip.
An improvised stop, with nothing scheduled, nothing planned. We simply let ourselves flow.
